About me

Gabriel Guerra Bianchini (Havana, 1984) is a visual poet with a powerful sensitivity that leads him to imagine new meanings, and whose primary virtue is expressed by overlaying the harshness of the everyday. Bianchini has held over forty exhibitions, including "...Es la esperanza," the first outdoor exhibition in Havana's Cathedral Square in 498 years, and "Utopía," the largest outdoor photographic exhibition on the Paseo del Prado during the 13th Havana Biennial. His works are in the Lugano Museum's permanent collection. As one of Cuba's first NFT artists, he was selected by Time Magazine for its TimePieces digital art collection. His first audiovisual work, the music video for Silvio Rodríguez's "Noche sin fin y mar," won the Lucas Award for Best Photography in 2020. His photos have graced albums by Leo Brouwer, Pablo Milanés, and others. He has worked at events like Rio Loco and Pause Guitare in France. Now based in Madrid, he continues to innovate from his studio in Carabanchel.
