The Bridge

Graphics, geometrical shapes, and patterns are present in nature and in all our surroundings. They have a strong effect on what we find visually appealing and artistic. This photo was inspired by displaying the beauty of geometrical shapes and graphics in architectural structures. I believe black and white photography emphasizes this beauty in a timeless and effective manner. I search for visions that are elegant and aesthetically pleasing to the eye in every part of my life, and I would like to present to you my interpretation of such visions. The third suspension bridge of Istanbul that connects Europe and Asia is located at the northern end of Istanbul, where the Bosphorus meets the Black Sea. I climbed up to a dark hill to photograph the bridge from an unusual and rarely photographed angle. The mild fog on top of the bridge formed a mystic atmosphere. This photo was awarded with an Honorable Mention in Architecture category in Monovision Awards 2023.
