My pigeons are known for their ability to orient themselves and return home even from pretty remote areas. Though I have observed for myself a few times that they do come back, I start to worry every time I lose sight of one of them: what if they have run into a bird of prey up in the air?! The number of fanciers keeps dwindling though. It’s surprising, given that pigeons are the world’s most peaceful and tranquil creatures, and 10 minutes spent with them is like a balm for the soul.
