The German town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber had been on my bucket list for many years. The town's medieval architecture, the charm of the local shops, bakeries and restaurants, and the histories stored in its museums all transport you to a whole new world, lost in a different time, hidden away behind the walls and towers of this small town. During my first evening in town, I took a late-night stroll through the quiet alleys, occasionally passing by local vendors closing shop or tourists returning to their hotels. Finally making it to Plönlein (also known as the "Little Square") I decided to sit around on the bench and take in all the magic this place has to offer under the starry sky above.
