Conjunction

Before some scientists began to investigate the source of the unknown signal, another group were working on developing a device that could capture human thoughts. It was top secret, many feared the possible consequences if this technology fell into the wrong hands. Upon the first test after an intense work, the machine was completely destroyed, it gave way to a small fire that destroyed part of the research, including parts necessary for its construction (cont.)
